Festival Slovenske muzike u Beogradu organizuje se po ugledu na istoimeni festival u Moskvi, Rusiji.
Želja organizatora iz Moskve je da se Festival Slovenske muzike proširi i održava i u ostalim zemljama koje već učestvuju na takmičenju u Moskvi.Najbolje plasirani na Festivalu u Beogradu stiču pravo učešća na završnom Festivalu Slovenske muzike u Rusiji, u maju 2015.
Festival ima veliki značaj jer na njemu učestvuju predstavnici svih zemalja podržani od strane Ministarstva kulture i prosvete Rusije.U Beogradu se održava pod pokroviteljstvom Ministarstva Prosvete nauke i tehnološkog razvoja Republike Srbije.Članovi žirija su ugledni pedagozi iz Slovenskih zemalja koje dolaze po preporuci država koje učestvuju na Festivalu.
Najuspešniji učesnici kao nagradu dobijaju besplatan boravak i smestaj za vreme održavanja Festivala u Moskvi.
